Skiing in Summit County

Summit County hosts some of the most renowned ski resorts in the state of Colorado. With 5 resorts: Arapahoe Basin, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Keystone, and Loveland; within a 30 minute drive, lodging in Summit County provides a centralized homebase for every mountain-goer's taste. Vail and Beaver Creek are also easily accessed by driving less than an hour on I-70.

Things To Do!

Vail Pass Bike Shuttle

During the Summer months, companies such as Mountain View Sports, Alpine Sports Rental, and Pioneer Sports provide bike rentals in coincidence with shuttle service to the top of Vail Pass. Take in the beautiful scenery of the Ten Mile Range and the Gore Range while coasting on a paved bike path to Frisco or beyond at your own pace.

Guided Fishing

The Summit County area has some of Colorado's best gold medal streams. A guided fly-fishing trip is a great way for any level of angler to experience the natural beauty of the High Rockies. Types of guide offerings in the area vary. Click her for more information.

Frisco Nordic Center

Located just minutes from downtown Frisco, the Frisco Nordic Center offers an excellent high altitude facility for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and other nordic activities paired with exceptional views of the High Rockies in each direction. Snowmobile Tours

White Mountain Tours is Colorado’s highest snowmobile tour company and has been providing a safe and unique experience for guests under the same local ownership for more than 25 years. Located on Main Street in Frisco, 10 Mile Music Hall is a premier concert and wedding/event venue with rustic charm. At 9,097 feet above sea level, 10 Mile Music Hall is the highest year-round music venue in the United States and the perfect place to catch your favorite band or host a wedding, corporate event or fundraiser. In the mood for apres? Summit County is in no shortage of hop flavored options to quench your thirst. Some of the local favorites include Outer Range Brewing in Frisco, Angry James in Silverthorne, Dillon Dam Brewery in Dillon, and Highside Brewing in Frisco.

Ein Prosit Frisco

Ein Prosit is an authentic beer hall located on Main Street in Frisco. The beer hall serves Bavarian and Belgian beer, along with authentic sausages and pretzels. Silverthorne Recreation Center

The Silverthorne Recreation Center has four pools, two water slides, an aquatic climbing wall, a spacious gym, indoor track, cardio and weight rooms, a hot tub, a sauna, and a steam room. Snowshoeing at Copper Mountain

Looking to try something new or take a day off of the slopes? Snowshoeing is a great way to explore the High Rockies in a way that is sure to beat the liftlines. Copper Mountain guest services rents snowshoes out of West Village and even provides free snowshoe tours! With trails directly out of West Village, an alpine adventure has never been so accessible. Dillon Farmers Market

Starting in June and ending in mid-September, the Dillon Farmers Market features some of the best Colorado-grown, farm-fresh produce, artisan goods, live music, and family entertainment that the Rockies have to offer. Outdoor Summer Concerts

During the Summer months, the Dillon Amphitheater hosts a live outdoor concert series alongside scenic Lake Dillon. Past performances include Robert Cray, John Popper, The String Cheese Incident, Clint Black, and the B-52s. Click here for more information from the Dillon Amphitheater website.

Movies on the Water

On Sundays between late June and mid-August, the Dillon Amphitheater hosts free movie showings on Sunday nights alongside scenic Lake Dillon. Showings range in audience ratings (G, PG, PG-13, & R). Click here for a list of showings this summer!

The Lake Dillon Theater Company

Located in the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, the Lake Dillon Theather Company has been the premier host of theater and artistic performances in Summit County for over 25 years. Lake Dillon Beer Fest

The 2020 Lake Dillon Beer Fest is hosted on scenic Lake Dillon in the Dillon Marina Park. Each Summer, Colorado's world-class breweries will gather for one day only to serve up craft beers to thirsty crowds of avid beer connoisseurs. Silverthorne First Fridays

The Town of Silverthorne hosts community gatherings on the first Friday of each month where residents and visitors alike get together to celebrate the vibrancy of the Silverthorne community. From arts and food to music and fun, First Fridays showcase the community's talented makers, artisans, and performers. Arapahoe Cafe

The Arapahoe Café, located in Summit County in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, is part of the area's rich mining and skiing history. Enjoy the history that's on the walls of the Café.
